For Speech class at Miami Dade College we were in charge of reading a chapter assigned to us and make a presentation on that chapter that we would then present to our class. Group 1 was in charge of reading Chapter 3 ( Intercultural Communication ), Group 2 was in charge of reading chapter 9 ( Communicating In Groups ) , and Group 3 (my group) was in charge of reading chapter 10 ( Group Leadership And Problem Solving ). Each group split up each chapter equally and gave it to their members and with that many presentations were made.

Group 1

The first group to present all year so I was not expecting much. It was really early in the Monday morning and I was half asleep, but I did pay attention to Group 1s presentation Everyone was prepared and shared a well organized gist of their chapters. They had great visuals and nice videos to broaden my understanding of Intercultural Communication. It was honestly surprising seeing the presentation go well. I was expecting many technical difficulties and some incomplete projects, but I was very wrong it was a great presentation.

Group 2

The second group to present occurred on Wednesday morning and once again I was half asleep but paid attention. Since group 1 did so well sharing their presentation I was expecting another great presentation. Group 2 was in charge of Chapter 9 n” Communicating in Groups”. Either my expectations were too high, but this presentation had a couple issues. Multiple students used video to get their point across and it just seemed a little dysfunctional. Which is why a couple students could not present that day. The videos took up a decent amount of the class and because of technical issues I was not able to hear some videos. It could be the inefficiency of using videos, but I did not get much information here. The presentation was very nice, and students presented nicely but the videos were a little hard to watch

Group 3

Group 3 which was my group presented chapter 10 “ Group Leadership And Problem Solving “. Sadly, I was not able to make it to class this day, but I just know we did well. Our slides were very organized and each person did what they had to do. We also used words and pictures to get out gist out there (besides some).  Presented this previous Monday and believe I did well. I am not a fan of using videos so my presentation consisted of words and pictures and also by the help of a class leader I was able to show my project to the class and things went smoothly.

In Conclusion, for my first college presentation of my life it went great. I am looking forward to the rest of the school year in Speech class and many more presentations.
