Reflection on Presentations
For this project, professor Sinkoff kept the class in the three groups that were made for the previous project and assigned each group a sub-topic that has to do with current issues in the U.S. Each group member had to create a well organized presentation based off the sub-topic they received.-Group 1-
Group one was first in presenting and they were assigned Education and Law and Order-Protests/Rallies. Their presentation was interesting because it has to do with what is going on these past months with the protests and gun violence. They explained the importance of education in the United States and the benefits it promotes. This group divided the sub-topics amongst each other to complete an organized presentation. I liked that this group remained on topic and didn't write to much on sides which summarizes the information. The group overall demonstrated pictured and videos to back up the information they provided, which helped with bette understanding the presentation. On the other hand, some of the presenters did not show up to present their slides, this shows that they were not well prepared to present and there was a lack of communication between group members.
-Group 2-
Group two was next to present, they were assigned Health care and Immigration. This group gave information on the history of immigration and healthcare. They provided many images which gives a visual presentation on the information they are explaining. This group played many videos, although videos are a good way to encourage the audience to better understand a topic, they were too long taking up the time for the other members to present. The videos also had bad audio, we couldn't hear or understand what the videos were talking about. Many of the group members slides contained too much text, some of the presenters were also reading word for word off the slides with no further explanation which shows they were not engaged and just did the slides to get the project done. I believe organizing a presentation and creating summarized information is easier for the audience to understand instead of just seeing a bunch of words on a screen with no explanation. To conclude, I believe that overall, this group provided information that will once apply to each person in the class.
-Group 3-
Group three was the last to present, they were assigned Racial Divides and The pandemic. This is the group that I was part of and presented in. I believe that my group and I communicated since the first day it was assigned to make sure we all had a sub-topic among each of us and to make sure it was all going to be done by the due date. I liked how each of us were ready to present when it was each of our turn. We did not loose time having the long pause between each presentation. Just like the other groups we had some mistakes that could be fixed for future presentations. One of our mistakes is that most of us did not turn on our cameras throughout the entire presentation since we were following what are other team members were doing. We lacked this important part which could have made the presentation better since the audience was not able to see our engagement and body language while presenting. Overall, I enjoyed all presentations and learned new information I didn't know before, I will use this experience for better performance in future presentations.

Very good!! I liked your reflection and your presentation. Yes...we will use the cameras for the persuasion speeches.
