Presentation Reflections

23 Benefits of Social Media for Business

           Group 1

Group One presented on the topics of Law and Order-Protest/Rallies. I liked how their presentation touched upon gun violence because it sadly is an issue that makes schools and public spaces risky to attend. Protests were also presented by them, which are events that have been happening for a long while now in many different places. Their manner of speaking and educating the audience on the subjects was very well projected. They also stayed on topic the entire presentation without drifting off or having a sense of hesitation. Their transition from one presenters to the next sub topic was smooth an appropriate, this could also reflect their team work and communication within the group itself which is good to see. Overall, I really enjoyed their presentation and the information I have learned from it.

        Group 2

Group Two presented on the matters of Healthcare and Immigration. These two subjects are very important in people lives as well as politics. Mentioning the past records of healthcare and immigration is important to know for a chance to move forward. The group provided many great media sources throughout their presentation and it was well related to the topics. Overall, their presentation was a bit below average. I understand that technical difficulties can't be avoided at times, its reasonable, but the amount of time it took their fellow presenters to speak was a negative factor. Some of them took a while to realize they were up next or had people waiting for more than they should've been. Ive also noticed that they never added their own information that they should have gained through the research, they were simply reading it word for word without any type of input. Being well educated on these subjects and being able to teach others is a big aspect in these presentations, specially on these type of subjects. It makes the presentation seem really bland and doesn't capture the audiences attention as much because all their doing is reading off a screen with narration and no further personal/educational input.

      Group 3

Group Threes presentation was on The Pandemic and Racial Divides. I presented in this group and I believe that we did well speaking to each other about what areas we would cover throughout the presentation. We communicated smoothly and discussed several aspects of the presentation. Although, an error we might have committed that other groups had achieved was turning on the camera while presenting. Turning on the camera would've shown how involved and educated we were on our subjects and how we apply our input/comments throughout the powerpoint. Speaking about the pandemic and racial divides was easy considering how involved the media is involved with the subject, also with the multiple sources provided to us. I believe our lesson went by smoothly and was easy for the audience to understand. Overall, I believe this group did well at working together. We could also improve the habit of not turning on the camera for the next presentation if needed.

  1. Very good reflection! I like what you said. I agree about the camera. We will make sure the Persuasion speeches use the cameras. However... no name! Please e-mail me with your name.
